About this Service

Our XML Logbook Data service provides a superior, high performance back-end connection to the QRZ database. It is widely supported by most of the top logging and contest programs . With the XML Logbook Data service, your logging program will automatically fetch detailed name, address, and QSL information from our extensive collection of more than 1.3 million callsigns.

A partial list of programs that use this service include:

We also host a dedicated discussion forum area for popular logging programs.

The QRZ XML data port provides callsign info, biography information, and QSL image data in a raw streaming format that connects to a variety of third party software products. The XML interface is fully documented so that programmers can easily adapt the interface to their projects.

How much does a subscription cost?

A full year subscription to the XML Logbook Data service costs just $29.95. We also offer other features and benefits in discounted packages.

Testing

If you are a current subscriber, you can check out your XML account using our XML Account Test Page. You can also use this page for accelerated callsign lookups - anytime.

Developer Information

If you are a software developer that would like to add fast callsign lookups to your program, please see our XML Interface Specification.

QRZ has also produced a reference XML lookup application that developers can use for troubleshooting or adding to their own code. The application was written for Windows in two versions using the free Microsoft .NET IDE in both Visual Basic and Visual C#. Both programs (VB and C# versions) are identical in function. Source code is included for each version and may be freely reused or redistributed with any program. Both programs have been verified on Windows Vista 64 and Windows XP (32).
